Volunteers and organizers moved frantically to get everything ready, speakers and panellists prepared for their talks, and attendees moved around campus from room to room. The Vertex Summit had arrived. What is the Vertex Summit? A  two-day conference which gathered students from different universities in London. Joining the students were speakers, professionals, entrepreneurs, and investors at our campus, making the Vertex Summit  the hub where ideas emanate. Im sure that this year was the first of many to come. For two days, over 50 panels, workshops, and talks took place on diverse topics such as AI, Negotiation, Entrepreneurship, and FinTech. A year in the making The idea of the Vertex Summit was born in the minds of Hult alumni and current students, Josh Akobeto, Tareq Al-Ouri, Fin Gnieser and Marc Watum to empower young minds to learn, collaborate, and work towards materializing their ideas.  After almost a year of preparation with many of our students involved, Vertex finally came to fruition. We took away with us many business lessons, with some of them coming from Hult Alumni who are now successfully launching their own businesses. Focus on Finance at NYU Stern

3rd Place for Finance A quick glance at NYU Stern currently ranks in 11th place as one of the best business schools, according to US News World Report (March 2012). It is ranked in third place for finance.  Ã‚   Stern’s Class of 2014 and Finance 3907 people applied to NYU Stern in 2012; the entering class size was 389. The average GMAT score was 720 and the class has an average undergraduate GPA of 3.51. The average number of years of work experience for the class of 2014 is 4.8 years. 26% of class of 2014 students have undergraduate degrees in business and commerce; 22% in economics; 21% in engineering, math, and science; 17% in social sciences; and 14% in humanities, arts, or other areas. In terms of pre-MBA work experience, the largest group of students came from the financial services industry (at 23% of the class). This is followed by 11% in consulting and 10% in banking. NYU Academics Related to Finance There are four phases to the Stern curriculum: Phase 1: A 2-week orientation program called LAUNCH that introduces students to New York City and to b-school with tours, panel discussions, speakers, and other activities. Phase 2: First year core classes. All students must take 2 required courses (Financial Accounting Reporting and Statistics Data Analysis) and choose 5 courses from the Menu Core (Firms Markets, Foundations of Finance, The Global Economy, Leadership in Organizations, Marketing, Operations Management, and Strategy). This report explores the changes in gender roles since the 1980’s and their impact on the nursing profession Sex and gender According to sociobiology our sex, or, our biological differences are what determines our gender. Sociobiologists suggest that biological elements such as our hormones, chromosomes and the size of our brain are what influence our behaviour and consequently what differentiates our gender. Because men produce more testosterone and androgens than women, which are linked to strength and aggression, sociobiologists argue that this explains men’s dominant and aggressive behaviour. (Haralambos Holborn, 2000) David Berash (1979) argues that behaviours are genetically determined and that those with physical characteristics more adaptable to the environment are more likely to survive. After Rosaleen heard the news on T.V. about the Civil Rights Act being passed, she decided to take the opportunity and register to vote. As they got to town to register Rosaleen, she dumped the juice from her chew container onto men who made fun of her. She was arrested, and that is when they escaped.
